FAQ

What are your products made from?

Most of our pieces are 3D printed in PLA, a plant based plastic made from renewable sources like cornstarch, which makes it a more eco friendly choice than many petroleum based plastics. Depending on the model or a specific request, we also print in other materials like TPU, PETG, ABS, ASA, and other engineering grade filaments when a piece calls for extra flexibility, durability, or heat resistance.

Tell me more about the filament you use.

Primarily everything we make is a version of PLA, and we choose the right type for each design. The PLA varieties we work with include:

  • Basic for reliable everyday pieces
  • Matte for a smooth, non glossy finish
  • Plus for added strength and durability
  • Metal for a metallic look
  • Sparkle for a bit of shimmer
  • Wood which blends real wood fibers into the filament, so wall art can be sanded and finished much like real wood
  • Glow in the Dark for select items that light up after dark

For pieces that need something more specialized, we'll reach for TPU, PETG, ABS, ASA, or another engineering grade material. It all depends on the model and the request. Because filament is dyed in batches, the exact shade can vary slightly from run to run, which is part of the handmade character.

How does the printing process work?

Every order is printed to make it, rather than pulled from a shelf. Once you order, the design goes to one of our printers, which builds the piece layer by layer from melted filament. Some items print on their own and others print together in the same batch, but either way each print comes out a little unique. After printing, we remove any support material, clean up the piece, check it over, and pack it for shipping. This hands on process is why production takes a few days rather than shipping same day.

Are small imperfections normal?

Yes. Because each piece is 3D printed and finished by hand, you may notice slight layer lines, tiny blemishes, or small variations between items. These are normal and part of what makes a handmade print one of a kind, and they aren't considered defects. If an item arrives actually damaged, we'll always make it right.

How long does it take to ship?

Most made to order items ship within 3 to 7 business days via USPS. We also keep a small number of items in limited stock, and those usually ship faster, within 3 to 5 business days. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order is on its way.

Do you ship internationally?

Right now we ship within the USA only. Enjoy free shipping on US orders over $30.

Can I request a custom piece?

Yes. Send a sketch or reference photo through our Contact page and we'll quote it for you. Custom and personalized pieces are made just for you, so please note they aren't eligible for exchange.

How do I care for my pieces?

PLA is durable for everyday use but it's sensitive to high heat, so keep your pieces out of hot cars and away from direct, prolonged sunlight to avoid warping. Clean them gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth. For wood composite wall art, avoid soaking it and just dust or wipe lightly.

Do you offer returns or exchanges?

We don't accept returns, but we're happy to help with an exchange if you reach out within 15 days of receiving your order. You can find the full details on our Exchanges page.

What if something arrives damaged?
